1- For the timeout issue check the parameter  "icm/server_port_1" and add the "TIMEOUT" option like:

icm/server_port_X = PROT=HTTP,PORT=XXXXX,HOST=XXX.DOMAIN.corp, TIMEOUT=120, PROCTIMEOUT=260
