Re: Gauges and counters

Greetings Mohammed,

Your question is not very clear - is this a question about "how to implement gauges as Measuring Points in SAP"?

I trust that you are familiar with the Measuring Points and Counters and how does one differ from the other. See Measuring Points and Counters (CS-IB-MC / PM-EQM-SF-MPC) - SAP Library

If your query is related to the creation of Measuring Points and Measuring Documents to record readings for gauges (where the exact, quantified value is not known, but instead, you have a reading akin to "1/2 of the scale" or "1/4 of the scale" or "yellow warning zone" or "red critical zone"), you could do either of the following:

- create a Measuring Point with a Characteristic defined as percentage; record your readings with "percent of the gauge" values (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%... or anywhere in between; your readings may be approximate)

- or -

- create a Measuring Point with a Value Code, this allows you to define values such as "OK", "Not OK", "Yellow", "Red"...

If I have completely missed the point, please elaborate what do you mean by "gauges"
