Where and what is the "Success Factors Employee Central extension package"?

I cannot find any details on what or where to find this.  My company is partnered with SuccessFactors and we want to investigate building applications.  All the searches I do, I only find marketing fluff, no actual details about the technology or capabilities.

Any info anyone has on what this can do and how to use it would be appreciated.
