Re: SAP Portal 7.3 missing components

Two usage types are associated with SAP NetWeaver Portal:

• EP Core - Application Portal (EPC) is a lean portal installation, applicable when full enterprise portal capabilities are not required.For more information, see:
  • Portal
  • Universal Worklist
• Enterprise Portal (EP) includes the Collaboration and Knowledge Management add-on capabilities. The prerequisite for EP is EPC.For more information, see:
  • Knowledge Management
  • Collaboration

Please help me to understand how can we install these missing components, now SDM and JSPM both are deprecated in 7.3, and only way to install is using SUM Tool and it doenst work..

Patch can be also installed using telnet tool. But in your case its not just patch deployment.

You could have selected the EP option while installation.

Usually people uninstall and install with the correct usage type.

Because EP has these components more than EPC.

I don't have the answer that if you deploy these patch the all the thing will be ok as the usage type is captured in config tool...

Lets see if someone else has better answer..
